Job Summary

A Fresno-based accounting and auditing services firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical expertise in tax preparation, compliance, research, and strategic tax planning for individuals and businesses.

The Tax Manager will play a key role in reviewing complex returns, advising clients, supporting audit matters, and mentoring junior accounting staff. This opportunity offers a professional, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, opportunities for continued development, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality client service. Candidates who enjoy problem-solving, leading others, and staying current with changing tax regulations will be well positioned for success.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review detailed federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning and advisory recommendations.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, filing requirements, and reporting standards.
Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Mentor, train, and supervise junior staff accountants.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate, integrated tax solutions for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $80,000 to $150,000 per year.
