The Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) team plays a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their recovery goals. The OBAT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, managing, and setting the vision for the program in accordance with organizational priorities and strategies. The incumbent will foster a respectful and supportive work environment, supervise members of the OBAT team specific to the clinical and programmatic requirements for OBAT services, ensure their professional development, provide training both internally and externally, manage the department budget, and represent the organization to external stakeholders. This role is essential in promoting the role of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) across all departments to enhance client experiences.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fosters a professional, respectful, and client-centered environment.
Supervises the clinical and programmatic activities of OBAT staff.
Conducts weekly office-based addiction treatment meetings and planning sessions that must include: Sublocade injections, missed dose calls, missed medical appts, notifications of arrest or pregnancy, unfavorable med counts or Urine Drug Screen (UDS), Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP), Drug Court phases/status, Government Performance and Results Act (GPRAs), complete/incomplete episodes for each month, quarterlies, annuals, administrative items, case consults, discharges, pending discharges, inductions, pending inductions, medication loss, and Serious Incident Reports (SIRs).
Performs diagnostic assessments on all office-based addiction treatment referrals utilizing a comprehensive needs assessment and American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria.
Ensures appropriate and complete documentation of treatment including diagnostic summaries, treatment plans and reviews, progress notes, correspondence, releases of information, and other documentation specified in compliance with Agency standards, Department of Medical Assistance (DMAS) regulations, and regulatory entities.
Ensures adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines governing OBAT/Medication Assisted Treatment services, including those set forth by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).
Facilitates opportunities for staff members to pursue advanced training, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification, and licensure relevant to OBAT/MAT services, and support their professional growth and development.
Provides clinical supervision to Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) type team members, CSACs, and Case Managers as well as programmatic supervision to Medical Providers, Nurses, LMHP type team members, CSACs, Case Managers, and Peers, specific to best practices and fidelity within a Preferred OBAT model of care.
Establishes mechanisms for regularly evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of OBAT services, solicits feedback from clients and stakeholders, and implements changes, as needed, to improve outcomes and service delivery.
Provides clinical services as needed.
Cultivates and maintains partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance access to and coordinate OBAT services as well as to promote awareness and understanding of MAT within the broader community.
Communicates department needs, accomplishments, and status to key stakeholders.
Collaborates with other leaders in the organization to ensure smooth integration and referral of clients from various departments.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of mental health work experience or relevant education, and training, which indicates the possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required.
Bachelor’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in a relevant human services field required.
Certified Addiction Treatment Professional (CATP) required.
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisee (CSAC-S) required.
At least one year of experience working with clients with substance use disorders required.
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) eligibility required.
Ability to provide licensure clinical supervision preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to provide your own transportation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be exposed to allergenic environments including extreme heat, humidity, dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.
May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases.
Must be able to drive for long periods of time to visit facilities/vendors in and out of the catchment area as needed.
Must be willing and able to assist with moving furniture, mowing lawns, completing basic carpentry skills, and completing the physical components of the job.
Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times.
