ABOUT OREGON HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION & OUR MISSION

Oregon Human Development Corporation (OHDC) is a culturally specific community action nonprofit that has been providing workforce development, emergency housing assistance, and associated services for farmworkers throughout Oregon since 1979. These services include support, referral, advocacy, resources, assistance, and education in both Oregon and Northern Nevada.

TEMPORARY HRSN PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST OVERVIEW

The Temporary HRSN Program Support Specialist supports OHDC’s Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) programs by ensuring outreach and engagement activities are accurately documented, tracked, and reported. This position will enter and maintain client and outreach information in Epic and Smartsheet, support timely billing and grant reporting, and help ensure program records are complete and up to date.

The Specialist will also participate in community outreach events, sharing information about OHDC’s HRSN services and connecting interested community members with case managers for follow-up. This position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with databases and spreadsheets, and the ability to handle confidential client information appropriately.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Data Entry and Documentation: accurately enter HRSN outreach and engagement contacts into Epic and Smartsheet, ensuring required documentation is complete and uploaded
Tracking and Quality Control: maintain program trackers, review records for completeness and accuracy, and identify missing or inconsistent information requiring follow-up
Reporting and Billing Support: run weekly and monthly reports on CBG grant compliance and HRSN activity and maintain timely documentation needed to support billing
Privacy and Confidentiality: protect confidential client information and follow HIPAA, OHDC privacy, and data security requirements
Community Outreach: participate in outreach events to provide information about OHDC’s HRSN services, document interested community members, and connect prospective clients with case managers for follow-up

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote and support farmworkers’ stability and self-sufficiency
Support the organization’s commitment to human rights by fostering an atmosphere of cultural humility, respect for all individuals, and compassion
Strive to meet annual program/grant goals in support of the organization’s strategic goals
Adhere to the organization’s policies and procedures
Perform other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and time management
Ability to perform repetitive or high-volume data entry accurately and efficiently
Ability to learn new software, databases, and procedures quickly
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, and digital database systems
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential client information appropriately
Compassionate and respectful approach to clients and community members
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Lived experience in the farmworker community
1-2 years of office, data entry, or human services experience
Experience with client databases, electronic records, or grant-funded programs
Experience conducting community outreach or supporting community-based services
Experience with Epic or other electronic health record systems

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Starting Pay Range: $20.22 - $22.22/hour

For employees covered by Paid Leave Oregon (staff who work in Oregon, regardless of state of residence), OHDC pays the employee portion of the premium, which is a taxable fringe benefit.
