Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retirement Home Manager/Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of a senior living facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to residents. In this pivotal role, you will champion resident well-being, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and foster a compassionate, team-oriented environment. Your leadership will drive quality care delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, creating a warm and welcoming community for our residents and their families.

Duties

Manage all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with long-term care regulations.
Supervise care teams, including all location staff, ensuring high standards of resident care and staff performance.
Oversee medication administration processes in accordance with healthcare policies and safety protocols.
Maintain strong relationships with residents’ families by providing regular updates on care plans and addressing concerns promptly.
Ensure the facility adheres to health regulation policies and maintains accreditation standards through rigorous audits.
Utilize healthcare financial management skills to oversee budgets, manage resources efficiently, and optimize operational costs.
Lead initiatives in disability services and home & community care programs to enhance resident independence and quality of life.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate seamless medical services for residents.
Promote a positive work environment by supervising staff development, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering leadership within the team.

Skills

Extensive experience in nursing home administration or senior living facility management with a focus on long-term care.
Proven leadership skills in supervising multidisciplinary teams within residential or healthcare settings.
Deep knowledge of long-term care regulations, health policy compliance, and assisted living standards.
Strong background in managing care facility operations.
Proficiency in documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes.
Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to residents’ unique needs while ensuring medication safety protocols are followed.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents’ families, staff members, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies.
Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives that improve resident outcomes and operational efficiency in a senior living environment.
