Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic MRI Technologist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in advanced imaging techniques, combined with your compassionate approach, will ensure patients receive high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers flexibility for those looking to contribute their skills on a part-time basis while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging results
Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards
Monitor patients throughout procedures, providing reassurance and addressing any concerns or adverse reactions
Document all procedures accurately in patient records, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality protocols

Requirements

Proven experience operating MRI equipment with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles
Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately perform diagnostic evaluations
Ability to apply aseptic technique consistently to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care
Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist is preferred; additional certifications in CT or sonography are a plus
