About CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc.: CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit social services agency that has been providing vital services in North Central Florida for over 55 years. We are dedicated to empowering youth and building strong families for a brighter tomorrow.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our Fiscal Department. This critical role ensures accurate accounts payable processing, maintains compliance with insurance, worker's compensation, and W-9 forms, and supports financial operations under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies before processing payments. Ensure timely payments and maintain accurate records of invoices and purchase orders.
QuickBooks: Scan supporting documentation to be attached to invoices in QuickBooks for proper record-keeping, ensuring the use of correct accounting codes.
Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll in QuickBooks, including benefit and retirement deductions.
Vendor & Management Communication: Resolve payment issues or discrepancies, maintain positive relationships with vendors, and collaborate with management.
Reporting & Data Support: Provide data and reports as requested by the CFO.
Other Duties: Assist the Executive team with administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro Online, Excel, and Word.
An A.S. in Accounting is preferred; however, candidates with a High School Diploma and extensive accounting/bookkeeping experience will be considered.
