Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Thrive Ortho & Spine (Thrive) OR Registered Nurse works with our practice physicians in providing care for patients in an operating room and clinical setting.

Job Duties

- Routinely uses acquired knowledge and experience to respond to changes in clinical and surgical settings.

- Delivers safe, dependable and effective care to patients utilizing the nursing process.

- Demonstrates developed assessment skills.

- Documents the nursing process accurately and in the appropriate format.

- Plans and implements patient care independently.

- Identifies and implements a course of action in non-routine situations.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience

Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.

Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience and compassion towards patients and other stakeholders with a pleasant personality.

Comfort working with or learning our electronic medical reports software (EClinicalWorks).

Must have no restrictions to work in the state of Georgia.

Must maintain BLS and ACLS.

Communication Skills

Strong customer service skills. Ability to maintain good relationships with providers and coworkers. Ability to effectively give and receive information from patients, physicians, and other Thrive employees.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to manage time efficiently.

Computer Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. PC proficiency and data entry skills.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

- The employee frequently is required to stand and occasionally sit.

- The employee is occasionally required to walk.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

- The employee must assist getting patients, of all sizes and weights, on and off the examination table, as necessary.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

- Required to wear (approximately 5 pounds) lead apron while using radiology equipment.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- The employee is exposed to radiation due to the use of fluoroscopy.

- The employee may be required to travel between multiple locations.
