Full Job Description

We're looking for hardworking, dedicated and experienced insurance agents with an interest in sales and customer service to join our GEICO Treasure Valley Local Office. This is a high volume sales office serving the entire state of Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

What you would do in this role:

Make sales of auto insurance and other personal lines of insurance products while providing extraordinary customer service to customers over the telephone and in person
Educate clients on auto, home, renter's insurance, and other personal lines
Service existing accounts and ensure customers make buying decisions armed with the right amount of information
Work leads aggressively as a team with other agents in the office
Identify cross-selling opportunities during retention calls

***No Cold Calling*** You will take inbound calls, handle walk in customers, and follow up on potential customers who recently received a quote online.

What you need:

Property & Casualty or Personal Lines License in Idaho
Prior success in a sales or customer service role
Up to 75% of your day may be on the phone. A high-energy personality and a love of working with people is a must
Strong computer skills to learn and work within multiple quoting systems (must be able to type at least 40 wpm)
A knack for remembering data and details
The ability to educate and counsel customers on insurance and find the best coverage to fit their needs
A talent for dealing with difficult customers
Punctual and dependable
Ability to work afternoons and weekends
