Full Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Director of Sales, Beauty to lead and scale our retail sales strategy across our beauty brand portfolio. This is a high impact role for a strategic sales leader who understands the beauty retail landscape, from major mass and specialty retailers to distributors, marketplaces, and emerging DTC to retail strategies. You will own the sales roadmap for our beauty brands, build and manage key retail partnerships, and help shape our strategy from acquisition to shelf.

This role is ideal for someone who has sold into beauty retail, knows the buyers, understands category dynamics, and is excited to build a multi-brand sales engine from the ground up.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the sales strategy for beauty brand portfolio, setting channel priorities, revenue targets, and go-to-market plans for new and existing accounts.
Build and manage key retail relationships, including buyers and category managers at major beauty and mass retailers such as Target, Walmart, CVS, specialty retailers, Ulta, Sephora, and independent retailers.
Lead new account acquisition, identifying and closing new wholesale, distributor, and retail partnerships to expand brand distribution.
Develop and pitch retail-ready sell sheets, line sheets, and buyer presentations in partnership with marketing and creative teams.
Own forecasting and demand planning in collaboration with operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure retail commitments are met.
Negotiate trade terms, pricing, and promotional programs that protect brand margin while driving volume.
Represent our beauty brands at trade shows, buyer meetings, and industry events such as Cosmoprof.
Partners functionally with brand, marketing, and product teams to ensure retail strategy aligns with brand positioning and product roadmap.
Build repeatable sales processes and playbooks that can scale across current and future acquired beauty brands.
Report on pipeline, account performance, and channel P&L to executive leadership.

TO BE THE BEST FIT FOR THIS ROLE YOU NEED

7+ years of sales experience in the beauty, personal care, or CPG industry, with a track record of closing and growing retail and wholesale accounts
Direct experience selling into major beauty or mass retailers such as Ulta, Sephora, Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, or similar retailers strongly preferred.
Existing relationships with beauty retail buyers and category managers
Experience managing multi-brand or multi-category sales portfolios.
Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth through effective forecasting, pricing, promotional strategy, and account management.
A strategic builder who can establish the sales foundation, processes, and infrastructure needed to scale our beauty portfolio.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills.
Experience working cross functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams.
Comfortable operating in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, multi-brand environment.
Willingness to travel for buyer meetings, trade shows, and account visits.
