Job Title: Cook

Location: Crush, Olathe KS 66061

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Summary:

Crush is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with our recipes and standards. This role is vital to ensuring that every dish served meets our quality expectations and satisfies our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Follow established recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
Assist in developing new recipes and menu items as needed.
Kitchen Operations:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, and stoves, safely and efficiently.
Monitor food stock and inventory levels, notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, both in taste and presentation.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety.
Adjust seasoning and ingredients as necessary to ensure the best flavor.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
Communicate effectively with servers and management to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
Assist with training and mentoring new kitchen staff.
Sanitation and Safety:
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Ensure that kitchen equipment and tools are cleaned and maintained properly.
Participate in regular kitchen clean-up and deep cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and work in a hot, fast-paced environment for long periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity for handling kitchen tools and equipment.
