Full Job Description

Tax Manager - Remote

We are seeking a seasoned, highly skilled Tax CPA to provide strategic tax planning, tax preparation, and related services to our clientele. My CPA Coach is a small Tax Firm that specializes in Tax Planning and Consulting for Small Business Owners and High-Income Individuals. This client-facing role requires a Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent license with excellent communication skills, and the ability to find solutions to complex tax issues independently.

Highlights of the Role:

Serve small business clients year round to provide tax advice and preparation
Receive competitive base compensation, plus a percentage of all of your client fees
Enjoy work-life balance with very rare instances of overtime
Work from home; position is 100% remote
Work independently to prepare tax returns, tax plans, and consult with clients
Ensure timely, accurate, and quality work deliverables

The Ideal Candidate:

Has at least 3 years of business tax preparation experience
Has client-facing experience, serving as the client's primary contact
Is confident to serve clients independently (resources provided)
Is able to work effectively and efficiently on tasks

Job Responsibilities:

Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to diverse clientele, including business owners, real estate investors, and high-income or high-net worth individuals.
Prepare a variety of tax returns, including individual, S Corporation, partnership, C Corporation, nonprofit, and gift tax returns.
Prepare and lead tax strategy calls, implementation calls and quarterly calls engaging the clients with their tax questions throughout the year.
Maintain strong client relationships by managing their expectations, being responsive to their communications/emails, and meeting your promises with clients (delivering on what you say you will)
Keep up to date with the latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.
Oversee and manage all accounting practices and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Collaborate with Managing Partners to develop and implement financial and operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
Stay up-to-date on relevant tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed CPA
At least 3 years of tax preparation and/or tax planning experience
Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement
Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
