About Desktop Pilot
Desktop Pilot designs and manufactures professional flight simulator hardware and turnkey flight simulator systems for flight schools, universities, aviation organizations, government agencies, and home aviation enthusiasts.
Our products range from desktop flight controls to FAA-approved Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATDs) used by flight schools across the country.
We're looking for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers find the right training solution—not simply pushing products.
What You'll Do
As a Technical Sales Consultant, you'll guide customers through the purchasing process by understanding their goals and recommending the right simulation solution.
Responsibilities include:
- Handle inbound sales calls, emails, and customer inquiries
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting and relationship building
- Follow up with inbound website and trade show leads
- Conduct virtual product demonstrations
- Prepare quotes and proposals
- Build relationships with:
- Flight schools
- Universities
- STEM programs
- Aviation organizations
- Government agencies
- Home simulator enthusiasts
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline within our CRM
- Occasionally attend major aviation trade shows and industry events
- Collaborate with our technical support and engineering teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
Compensation
Base Salary: $36,000 per year
Plus
Commission:
Competitive uncapped commission structure with six-figure earning potential. Details discussed during the interview process.
Top performers have the opportunity to earn well into six figures.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of professional sales experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable conducting virtual demonstrations via Zoom or Teams
- Self-motivated with excellent time management
- Ability to understand technical products and explain them clearly
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls and building new business
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for trade shows
Preferred:
- Aviation experience
- Flight simulation experience
- Private Pilot Certificate or flight training experience
- Experience selling technical, industrial, software, or capital equipment
- CRM experience (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)

Training & In-Person Requirements
This is primarily a remote position within the United States. Successful candidates must:
- Complete an initial one-week training program at our headquarters in Buena Vista, GA
- Travel periodically for additional training and team meetings as needed
- Occasionally attend industry trade shows
- Be available during standard Eastern Time business hours
