Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations. In this role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management processes to ensure seamless production flow and optimal supply chain efficiency. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement enterprise solutions, and foster cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, logistics, and operations teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape procurement strategies, optimize resources, and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with production planning and demand forecasts to meet operational needs efficiently.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement activities using SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, and other enterprise solutions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, warehouse management systems, and plant management to streamline supply chain processes.
Oversee logistics inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics planning to ensure timely delivery of materials while minimizing costs.
Lead software implementation projects related to ERP systems, SAP modules, SQL databases, and other enterprise solutions to enhance procurement workflows.
Monitor MRP (Material Requirements Planning) outputs and demand planning data to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste through lean manufacturing principles.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing Excel data reports, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices in supply chain management.
Supervise team members involved in procurement activities, fostering a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence.

Experience

Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of procurement processes.
Demonstrated expertise in ERP systems such as SAP ERP or Oracle EBS; experience with SAP modules related to purchasing is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of demand planning, production planning (MRP), logistics inventory management, and warehouse management systems.
Skilled in data analysis using Excel and SQL for reporting and decision-making purposes.
Experience leading software implementation projects for enterprise solutions related to supply chain or operations management.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Previous team leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or plant environment is highly desirable.
