Looking for experienced Seamstresses to join our team!

IMC is a world wide leader in Mascot or Character Costume Design and Manufacturing. IMC has corporate clients located in over 90 countries world wide and is seeking individuals who have experience in Costume Sewing and preferably additional skills of patterning.

Our seamstresses have a variety of backgrounds and skills.. Our seamstresses will have advanced sewing skills and expert at hand stitching and be comfortable with all kinds of industrial sewing machines. Speed and accuracy come naturally to them. In addition, they will also be crossed trained in our finishing department to cover costume heads/bodies. Join us in bringing characters like Red the Angry Bird, Tony the Tiger and others to life in costume form!

Job Type: Full-time

Starting Wage: $17 an hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Costume Seamstress to join our creative team. This role is essential in bringing our costume designs to life with precision, craftsmanship, and creativity. You will be responsible for sewing, altering, and constructing costumes for corporate events, theater productions, film shoots, special events, theme parks, etc..

Key Responsibilities:

Construct costumes from patterns or references provided by management
Work with various materials, fabrics, and sewing techniques
Repair and maintain costumes throughout the production schedule
Maintain an organized and clean sewing workspace
Meet production deadlines under time-sensitive schedules

Qualifications:

Proven experience in costume construction, tailoring, or fashion sewing
Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern reading, and fabric types
Proficient in using industrial and domestic sewing machines, sergers, and hand-stitching techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Experience in theatrical, film, or live event costuming a plus
Portfolio or samples of previous work encouraged

Experience:

Ability to Sew (Required)
Costume Construction: 1 Year experience at least.
Ability to use Industrial Sewing Machine and Serger
Knowledge on cutting and assembling Patterns.
Understanding of how to work with fur, knits, Jersey, and other unique fabrics.

Ability to Commute:

Tucker, GA 30084 (Required)
