Full Job Description

Job Overview
The Law Offices of Samantha K. Wolfe, LLC is a small law firm dedicated to the practice of estate administration, trusts and estates, elder law, special needs planning, and business succession planning. We are adding a new position to our team. We are excited to welcome a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to our firm. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the attorneys by performing a variety of administrative and legal tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a desire to help people. The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our office and assisting with various legal matters.

Responsibilities

Drafting, editing, and reviewing estate planning documents, deeds, and financial information as instructed by the supervising attorney.
Assist in gathering client information related to assets and family information to help create the best estate plan for clients.
Communicate with clients and be the primary contact between the attorney and the firm's clients.
Organize and compile documents in preparation for client meetings and manage the flow of the file through the firm's established procedures.
File deeds and other legal documents with the Recorder of Deeds.
Answer the phone and greet clients so the client is comfortable at our office.
Build relationships with professionals and clients through in-person interaction, emails, and phone calls.
Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing files.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records in our case management system.
Carry out various clerical duties, including filing, copying, and scanning documents as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or experience in estate planning is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Dropbox and Practice Panther a plus.
Excellent organizational skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
