Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and strong communication skills will help streamline clinic operations and enhance patient satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software and manage calendar updates efficiently
Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to ensure accurate billing processes
Collect payments and perform medical collections in accordance with billing procedures
Maintain and update patient records within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) - MEDENT
Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations
Manage scanning of medical records, lab results, and other essential documentation accurately
Support office management tasks such as inventory management of office supplies and maintaining a clean reception area

Skills

Proficiency in EMR systems
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Prior clinic or medical office experience is preferred
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Experience with insurance verification processes and handling medical billing inquiries
Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a busy healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism
