About us
We are a leading aluminum window, storefront, and curtain wall manufacturer and installer serving commercial and institutional clients across NJ and the surrounding region. We deliver design-assist, fabrication, and field glazing services with an emphasis on quality, schedule, and code compliance.

Position summary
The Glazing Project Manager (PM) with estimator skills oversees commercial glazing projects from pre-bid estimating through closeout. This role coordinates estimating, job planning, production, procurement, installation, and client communication to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to specification. The PM splits time between office/factory and jobsite as required.

Key responsibilities

Preconstruction & Estimating
Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate takeoffs and competitive estimates for windows, storefronts, curtain walls, and related glazing scope.
Develop material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment quantity estimates; prepare cost breakdowns, allowances, and contingency recommendations.
Produce bid packages, proposals, and value-engineering options. Track bid status and follow up with clients.
Coordinate with design teams and architects on product selection, performance requirements, and shop drawing timelines.
Project Management & Coordination
Manage assigned projects from contract award through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance.
Create and maintain project schedules (short- and long-term), coordinate factory production schedules, and sequence field installation.
Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, issue change orders, and maintain margin targets.
Procure materials and manage vendor/subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance.
Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, samples, mock-ups, and test reports. Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes (e.g., AAMA, NFRC, local building codes).
Field oversight & Quality Assurance
Coordinate installation crews and site supervision; perform regular site visits to monitor progress, workmanship, and adherence to safety protocols.
Troubleshoot field issues (interface with structure, water infiltration, tolerances) and implement corrective actions promptly.
Ensure punch lists are managed, and warranty and closeout documentation (operation & maintenance manuals, warranties, as-built drawings) are complete.
Communication & Client Relations
Serve as primary client contact for assigned projects; maintain clear communication with owners, GC, architects, engineers, and other trades.
Conduct regular project meetings, provide progress reports, and escalate issues to senior management as needed.
Foster positive customer relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate project documentation: contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, daily logs, safety records, and cost reports.
Ensure projects meet applicable code, performance testing, and warranty requirements. Coordinate third-party testing/inspections when required.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years in commercial glazing, curtain wall, storefront, and aluminum window industry with combined estimating and project management responsibilities. Experience with both fabrication and field installation strongly preferred.
Technical knowledge: Thorough understanding of aluminum curtain wall systems, storefronts, punched windows, thermal performance, water/air infiltration control, sealants, anchors, and glazing materials. Familiarity with AAMA, NFRC, ASTM standards, and building code interface.
Estimating skills: Proficient at takeoffs, material/labor pricing, subcontractor quotes, producing competitive bids, and preparing cost proposals.
Software: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel), project management/scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera or similar), and estimating/takeoff tools. Experience with ERP/shop scheduling systems is a plus.
Leadership & communication: Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Physical/other: Ability to visit job sites as needed; valid driver’s license. OSHA or safety training preferred.
