JOB SUMMARY

The Performance Improvement RN will assist the Quality Management Director in coordinating Performance Improvement activities. He/She will assist with all Performance improvement functions including: measurement and data retrieval, transformation of data into informational reports and identification of opportunities for improvement .

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Must possess a current Kentucky Registered Nurse license.
Current BLS certification

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of three years experience in a health care facility

Supports the hospital Mission, Service and Values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Participates in data collection for Performance Improvement activities.

Chart abstractions and chart reviews.

Attends educational opportunities to stay up to date on quality measures.

Supports performance improvement teams with data collection, analysis and presentation.

Transforms data into information/statistical reports and presentations for committees.

Assists with quality measures in conjunction with Med Staff Office.

Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Trends data and reports trends in Adverse Patient Outcomes as soon as detected.

Attends Medical Staff meetings as needed.

Serves on multiple multidisciplinary committees related to quality measures

Assists Performance Improvement teams with projects.

Participates in preparing the hospital for TJC, stroke, and chest pain accreditation.

Demonstrates computer skills adequate for proficient use in word, excel, PowerPoint.
