We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting functions, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role serves as a key partner to the General Manager and leadership team while also overseeing payroll administration, employee benefits administration, onboarding support, and other HR-related operational functions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines strong accounting expertise with excellent organizational, communication, and people-management skills. This Candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

Lead, mentor, and develop a team.
Oversee daily accounting operations City Wide location.
Serve as backup for Payroll, invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions.
Manage company credit card expenses and reconciliations.
Coordinate cross-market allocations, including insurance, management fees, and shared operating expenses.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Analyze financial performance and explain variances to management.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
Improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls.
Process and prepare all contractor payments.
Assist with workers comp. audits, tax support, and special projects as needed.

Human Resources & Administrative Operations

Partner with leadership to help foster a positive employee experience and workplace culture.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities including IT requirements
Administer employee benefits programs and related employee communications.
Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
Assist leadership with performance review administration and employee-related matters.
Support compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Current supervisory or management experience preferred.
Experience with payroll, benefits administration, or HR operations strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Experience with Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Proven attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
Reliable transportation.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
