Full Job Description

Burkard Custom Cabinets is seeking a Cabinet Maker Apprentice / Junior Cabinet Maker to join our growing team in Glenmoore, PA.

We specialize in high-end custom cabinetry, built-ins, and specialty woodworking projects for discerning homeowners throughout the region. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we are looking for someone who wants to learn the craft of custom cabinetmaking and build a long-term career.

This position works directly alongside our Lead Cabinet Maker and is intended to develop into a highly skilled cabinet maker role over time.

We are not a production shop. Every project is custom. Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and pride in your work are essential.

What You'll Do

Assemble custom cabinetry and built-ins
Operate woodworking equipment including CNC machinery and edgebanders
Sand, prep, and assist with spray finishing operations
Participate in specialty woodworking projects
Install cabinetry, trim, and millwork in customer homes
Perform light drywall repairs and touch-up painting as needed during installations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow established shop standards and quality expectations

What We're Looking For

Experience using power tools and hand tools
Strong attention to detail
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to accept coaching and follow established processes

Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

Complete the application questions
Submit 1-3 photos of a project they have built, repaired, installed, restored, or completed that demonstrates craftsmanship and attention to detail
Participate in a skills assessment covering basic math, fractions, measurements, and tool familiarity
Complete an in-person interview and shop evaluation

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
