LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - ON SITE POSITION

Job description:

Frasier Enterprises is seeking a dynamic, self-starter to join our growing team as a Senior Accountant. This position will play a key role in the accurate, complete, and timely entry of financial data into the General Ledger. This individual should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management. This position will be responsible for account reconciliations, journal entries, analysis of financial statements, and ad hoc reporting as deemed necessary. A well-qualified candidate will also demonstrate a desire to learn new processes and ask appropriate questions to enhance and accelerate their learning.

Job responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

- Manage full-cycle month-end close for multiple companies/entities, consistently meeting strict reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, research discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, maintaining accurate balances across multiple legal entities.

- Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns in compliance with state regulations and filing deadlines.

- Support quarterly and annual financial audits by preparing schedules, reconciling accounts, and responding to auditor requests.

- Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Perform variance analysis and investigate where necessary

- Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements across multiple business entities.

Job Requirements

- Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills while managing high transaction volumes and multiple concurrent priorities.

- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Solid work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

- Proactively seeks knowledge and new responsibilities.

Education/Certification

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred. Candidates pursuing their CPA will also be considered.

Experience

- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably, in a multi-entity environment

- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of applications (including Excel and Word)

- Working knowledge of accounting software
