Full Job Description

Hybrid remote work model- Wednesdays & Fridays work from home.

We are looking for an experienced Spine surgery charge audit and Pain Management billing A/R specialist to join our fast-growing team. Candidates must be motivated, diligent and have strong abilities to multi-task. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of two years' experience working full cycle billing.

Past experience in spine surgery billing is preferred.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Charge auditing
Work claim rejections
Patient calls
Review ERA's and mail batches on a daily basis for denied claims
Understanding appeals/reconsiderations and correcting claims
Use insurance portals to correct and resubmit claims as needed
Create paper appeals and submit reconsiderations on claims when necessary
Track and document all claim follow up, reconsiderations, appeals, payments, etc.
Collaborate with the Billing Manager regularly and communicate any needed changes in provider coding, templates, or overall process to decrease denials
Research and understand LCD's to maximize reimbursement and avoid denials
Post some insurance and over the counter payments
Follow up with insurance carriers (via phone or portal) for claim status/resolution
Audit and/or enter charges for procedures, office visits, lab charges, apply modifiers- ensure clean claim entry and coding
Reading and understanding of emails from supervisors and following policies and directions

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and 401K with match. We are looking for a long-term employee. We have an amazing team you will be joining into with a positive and fast paced work environment!

Work schedule option to work Friday half days.

In addition Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays are work in office days. Wednesday & Fridays are work from home option.

Experience in NextGen Enterprise and Advanced MD is a plus but not required.

Joining bonus of $400 after 120 days.
