About the Company:

Leading MDs is a growing Healthcare company looking for immediate new hires for our billing department. We are looking for various individuals who want to start their healthcare careers or further develop their skills.

Requirements:

Responsible for the reviewing of charges created through the Electronic Medical Record, scrubbing claims for proper diagnosis codes, CPT codes and modifiers, billing out claims through clearinghouse and working claim rejections that are returned for physician office and skilled nursing facilities using an electronic practice management system.
Working efficiently to ensure timely filing of claims and collaborating on initiatives to enhance the financial and operational performance of the practice are key goals.
Answers incoming calls from patients or guarantors and assists with questions on statements or balances.
Take patient payments over the phone and post to the balances on the practice management system.
Verify insurance eligibility via practice management system, payer portals or other vendors in use at the practice.
Confidentially maintain and update patient account information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and actions.

Requirements

Candidates must be a strong team player and have excellent communication, organization and follow- up skills with the ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of HCFA-1500 paper claim forms and 837 electronic equivalents.

Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited high school or GED required.
Minimum of two years of experience in health-related billing, accounts receivable and collections.
Proficiency with excel and word.
1+ year experience with electronic medical/ health record preferred.

Schedule:

8-hour shift
Day shift
Monday- Friday
