Job Duties

Responsibility / Duty

Test Coordination

Organizes all testing for students and coordinates with instructors in receiving the tests. Ensure that accommodated testing procedures are completed by the student. Organizes the delivery of tests in a timely manner. Monitor students when testing as needed. File the completed forms to maintain organization.

Kurzweil Software

Provides Kurzweil support to students who have a reader as an accommodation. Coordinate and implements all tasks regarding the administration and operation of Kurzweil. If an electronic copy of a textbook is need, request electronic copy for Access Text.

Assist the Center Director and Coordinators as needed. Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, typing and answering phone promptly, politely identifying oneself and work unit. Maintains confidentially with all individuals.

Maintains correspondence and student inactive files. Handles telephone inquiries, takes messages and relays messages as necessary.

Coordinate and maintain notes for any students requesting a notetaker each semester and have this has an accommodation.

Application Process and Billing for the Center

Accept and process all applications received from students requesting to enroll in the Louisiana Center for Dyslexia and Other Learning Disorders. Helps to inform students about the Center and answers any questions the students might have. Add the Center fee to the student’s account.

Input the Center fee into Banner for returning students. Maintains confidentiality of all students’ information.

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
