Role Overview: CNC Programmer/Machinist (Off-Shift)

We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position focuses on supporting contract manufacturing, ranging from individual components to complex subassemblies. Candidates are needed for both 2nd and 3rd shift operations.

Compensation and Shift Differentials

Hourly rates range from $18.00 to $30.00, determined by your specific skills and background. This base pay is separate from our comprehensive total rewards package. We also offer additional premiums for off-shift work: $2.00 extra per hour for 2nd shift and $1.50 extra per hour for 3rd shift.

Core Responsibilities

Utilize product data to run CNC machinery, ensuring die components are manufactured according to specifications.
Analyze technical blueprints for dies, fixtures, and products to determine the correct mechanical structure and machining approach.
Maintain orderly documentation by storing tool and data files in a structured directory as directed by management.
Coordinate material and resource procurement well in advance to ensure production schedules remain on track.
Operate and configure lathes, mills, grinders, and other tools to help reduce material waste and improve production efficiency.
Configure and run CNC equipment by strictly adhering to established instruction sets for accurate ATL offsets.
Complete miscellaneous tasks and support functions as requested by leadership.

Required Qualifications

At least two years of professional background in CNC programming, machining, or methodizing.
Demonstrated ability to make informed choices by balancing data-driven insights with professional intuition.
Strong analytical capabilities and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure high-quality output.
Proven capacity to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical or logistical challenges.
Proficiency in mathematics and computer operations.

Physical Demands

Consistent standing and walking while managing CNC equipment.
Frequent manual dexterity to manipulate machine controls, parts, and various tools.
Regularly lifting or transporting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Occasional bending, reaching, or crouching to facilitate machine loading.
Strong visual acuity, including depth perception, for inspecting parts and interpreting technical drawings.

Work Environment

A standard production floor featuring active lathes, mills, and CNC machinery.
Regular contact with cutting fluids, lubricants, and metal debris.
High-noise environment where provided hearing protection is mandatory.
Mandatory use of provided safety eyewear.
Requirement to wear steel-toe footwear at all times.

Operating Hours

Our standard shifts are 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (1st), 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd), and 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (3rd). The work week runs Monday through Friday, with the expectation of occasional overtime, including weekends, based on production needs.
