Become a Founding Leader
Some jobs ask you to maintain an organization.
This one asks you to help build one.
BridgePoint Health Professions High School is seeking an exceptional leader to become one of the school's first two administrators. This is a rare opportunity to shape the culture, traditions, systems, and community relationships of a new public charter school from its earliest days.
As Director of Enrollment & Community Engagement, you will be more than a recruiter, communicator, or registrar. You will become one of BridgePoint's founding leaders—helping create a school that prepares students for meaningful healthcare careers while becoming a source of pride for the Grand Valley.
If you are energized by building relationships, creating new systems, solving complex challenges, and inspiring others around a shared vision, we'd love to meet you.
About BridgePoint
BridgePoint Health Professions High School is a new public charter high school opening in Grand Junction with a singular purpose: preparing students for meaningful careers in healthcare while expanding opportunities for young people throughout Western Colorado.
Our Mission
BridgePoint prepares students—especially those who have historically faced barriers to success—to become emotionally grounded, technically skilled, and community-minded health professionals ready to step into Colorado's most in-demand healthcare careers.
BridgePoint exists because opportunity should not depend on circumstance. By integrating rigorous academics, industry-aligned health science pathways, and intentional mentoring, we develop both the professional competence and personal resilience students need to succeed in healthcare careers and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
About the Position
BridgePoint is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven leader to serve as our first Director of Enrollment & Community Engagement.
This is one of only a few leadership positions within the organization and offers a unique opportunity to help build an innovative public charter school from the ground up. The successful candidate will become the public face of BridgePoint, leading enrollment, building community partnerships, managing communications, and helping create the systems and culture that will define the school for years to come.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and serves as one of the Executive Director's primary leadership partners. In the Executive Director's absence, this individual provides day-to-day operational leadership and supervision of students, staff, and school operations.
Primary Responsibilities
The Director will:
- Lead all student recruitment and enrollment efforts while meeting annual enrollment goals.
- Serve as BridgePoint's ambassador throughout Grand Junction and neighboring communities.
- Build meaningful relationships with prospective families, healthcare organizations, CMU, CMU Tech, local businesses, homeschool families, community organizations, and educational partners.
- Represent BridgePoint through presentations, community meetings, recruitment events, and public speaking engagements.
- Plan and coordinate community events both on and off campus, including occasional evening and weekend events.
- Manage the school's website, Facebook, Instagram, newsletters, and other community communications.
- Capture photographs and stories highlighting students, staff, community partnerships, and school events for use in publications and marketing.
- Serve as the school's registrar and become an expert in the Student Information System, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail with student records.
- Develop and improve organizational systems, procedures, and operational practices as the school grows.
- Work closely with the Executive Director as a trusted advisor and thought partner on strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
- Provide operational leadership and supervision of staff and students in the Executive Director's absence.
- Contribute wherever needed, recognizing that everyone in a startup organization wears multiple hats and shares responsibility for the school's success.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate:
- Is deeply knowledgeable about Grand Junction and surrounding communities.
- Has an established network of relationships with families, healthcare organizations, CMU, CMU Tech, businesses, and community partners.
- Is warm, approachable, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people.
- Is an exceptional communicator and confident public speaker.
- Possesses outstanding written communication skills.
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Is self-directed and capable of establishing priorities without close supervision.
- Enjoys creating systems and bringing organization to new initiatives.
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where flexibility, creativity, and initiative are essential.
- Is comfortable with the occasional uncertainty that comes with building a startup organization.
- Is excited by the opportunity to help create something lasting for the Grand Valley.
- Shares BridgePoint's mission and believes deeply in expanding opportunities for young people.
- Is willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Primarily works on campus. While limited remote work may occasionally be appropriate, this is not a remote position because success depends upon building relationships throughout the community and being present within the school.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with experience in education who aspire to become school leaders are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with healthcare backgrounds may have opportunities to teach courses in the future, although teaching is not a required component of this position.
