Overview
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights! As a vital part of our hospitality environment, you will oversee daily food preparation, manage kitchen staff, and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, menu planning, and service execution.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain strict hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
Coordinate banquet and catering preparations, ensuring timely delivery and presentation that meet client specifications.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
Oversee food handling procedures and ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Lead shift management by organizing station assignments, monitoring performance, and resolving any operational issues promptly.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs while maintaining menu integrity.
Maintain a positive team environment through effective leadership, communication, and motivation.

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse kitchen teams confidently.
Experience in banquet service and catering operations is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food production processes, menu planning, and food service management.
Solid understanding of inventory management, inventory control, and food cost optimization.
Expertise in food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts efficiently while fostering teamwork.
Familiarity with kitchen management systems and restaurant experience is preferred.
Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines with an emphasis on presentation quality.
