Territory Management Position for ABB Dallas

We are looking for a Territory Manager to help us increase our sales revenues and maintain customer relationships within an assigned geographical area. In this role, we seek outstanding organizational and sales skills. We expect you to be an excellent communicator who understands customer needs. About ABB Motors and Mechanical, Inc.

ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. (formerly Baldor Electric Company) is the US motors and generators business unit of ABB's Motion Division. We are the leading marketer, designer, manufacturer, and service provider of industrial electric motors & generators. Our industrial motors are sold under the brand names ABB and Baldor-Reliance®. They range from sub-fractional to 100,000 horsepower. The business sells most of its products through distribution and direct to original equipment manufacturers. These customers operate in a variety of process industries including chemical, oil and gas, food and beverage, pulp and paper, aggregate and cement, mining, paper and packaging, agriculture and water/wastewater.

Position Description

Field sales/outside sales position. This position will have direct contact and influence with the buyers and users of the industrial electric motors and industrial services we provide. You will be responsible for maintaining existing sales and tasked to grow new sales with your assigned customer base.

This position will require managing your schedule for visiting your assigned customers on a regular basis and most of the travel required will be within an approximate +- 3 hour driving distance of Dallas, TX. In this role, you will be working with the users of our product to help continue and create demand for our products. You will also be supporting the needs of our channel partners in order to help them provide more of our products in the industrial marketplace. The support will be ever changing and ongoing; some examples of which include training on our products, product presentations, customer site visits, specification review, quotation preparation and order entry.

This position will be approximately 75% based in the field visiting end users, our distributors and their customers with approximately 25% of office time to support your customers.

Compensation

This position is salary based with bonus opportunity based on sales goals and objectives. Expense reimbursement and benefit package is included and/or available.

Desired Skills and Expertise

Previous sales experience is desired and candidates with experience in the industrial marketplace are ideal. Strong organizational and communication skills are required. You must be comfortable in speaking to groups of various sizes. The ability to create and manage your own time and schedule effectively is a necessity. Experience in the Microsoft office suite of products are required, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. SAP experience and a strong understanding of CRM is beneficial. The candidate will also be responsible for the data entry of plans, activities, and opportunities in our CRM software salesforce.com.
