Full Job Description

Heartstone Guidance Center is a group of neurodivergent therapists who provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy services to neurodivergent clients of all ages. We are currently looking for skilled and compassionate mental health therapists who have lived experience and are knowledgeable in working with the Neurodivergent Community, specifically ADHD, Autism, PDA and/or OCD. Must be neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming. This is a hybrid position, you need online and in-person availability. Experience working with children and teens is preferred. We offer safe and neurodiversity affirming space for neurodivergent clinicians.

Support — You never have to feel like you are on your own. You can get therapeutic support, technical support, etc. We have a cohesive team of therapists and other team members to help you.
Support Team — Our support team handles billing, credentialing, advertising, scheduling, all of the details that you don’t want to worry about. You can show up to a beautifully decorated office space or work from the comfort of your home office and focus on helping your clients live healthier, better-balanced lives. We also offer optional support meetings every other week for our therapists.
Balanced Life, Reliable Income —. You will be able to choose your caseload and generate reliable income. The average provider can earn more than $100,000 per year while working less than 40 hours a week.

Full Job Description

Heartstone allows you to focus on therapy and leave the rest to us. Work when you want to: days, nights, or weekends.

Depending on the number of hours you want to work there is high earning potential.

You focus on therapy, while we:

Find clients for you.
Credential and panel you with top insurers.
Handle initial scheduling, onboarding, and billing.
Provide a HIPAA compliant EHR and video platform.
Provide monthly support meetings where you can drop by and chat with fellow therapists for support and insight.

Insurance

Clients are increasingly expecting to pay for therapy with their insurance. If you do not accept insurance, many potential clients will not consider working with you. In order to increase access to care, we will help our therapists get credentialed and paneled with top insurers. While there is some minimal initial work on your part to begin this process, our full-time credentialing specialist will handle the majority of the effort.

Flexible Hours

Supervision and Support for limited license staff is provided

You set your own hours. Work the days/evenings and hours you want to. We ask you to offer a minimum of 10 hours of availability per week.

Our goal is to help attract the type of clients that you feel are a good fit for you. We will work with you to create a profile page that lets clients know who you are and who you want to work with, which will be featured on our webpage.

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.

Fully licensed as an LMSW, LMFT, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist.

You must maintain malpractice insurance (a 1M/3M policy).

At least ten hours per week are available to see private practice patients.

Responsibilities

Engage in compassionate and ethical mental health therapy with clients
Provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy
Complete clinical documentation
Maintain required client contact
Maintain good standing with the appropriate professional board entities
Complete and maintain all required continuing education requirements for specific licensure and specializations
Strong foundational knowledge of comprehensive mental health issues in both theory and practice
Knowledge, training, and experience utilizing assessment techniques and evidence-based, neurodiversity affirming interventions for specific populations
Stay current with updated research and best practices
Maintain up-to-date case files within the electronic health record (EHR) system; and,
Maintain contact with and consult with third parties and collateral contacts when appropriate

Requirements

Fully licensed LMSW, LLMSW LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologists
Licensed and living in the state of Michigan
Lived experience of neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, and/or OCD, etc).
Understanding, experience with, and desire to work with the LGBTQIA+ community.
Social Justice Informed, with an understanding of the impact of discrimination against Neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Trauma-informed, knowledgeable of the various ways in which trauma impacts client’s lives
Ability and skill in working with people of backgrounds, cultures, differing sexual and gender identities, ages, etc
Working knowledge and non-pathologizing perspective of neurodiversity (especially ADHD, Autism)
Working knowledge of family systems and their impact on mental health within the family
Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis
Ability to provide necessary self-care and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries
Awareness of personal strengths and limitations
This is a 1099 position
