Join a Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy Practice
Heartstone Guidance Center is seeking compassionate, skilled mental health therapists to join our neurodivergent-led, neurodiversity-affirming group practice.
Our team provides affirming therapy to autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, PDA, OCD, otherwise neurodivergent clients, and LGBTQIA+ Michigan. We work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
We are looking for Michigan-licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists who understand neurodiversity-affirming care and want to practice from a non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and social justice-informed perspective.
This is a hybrid position. Clinicians must be able to offer a combination of secure telehealth appointments and in-person sessions at our beautifully furnished downtown Grand Rapids therapy office.
We are especially interested in clinicians who enjoy working with children and adolescents, although therapists serving adults, couples, and families are also encouraged to apply.
Why Therapists Join Heartstone
At Heartstone, therapists can focus on providing excellent clinical care while our support team manages many of the administrative responsibilities of private practice.
Flexible Schedule
You choose the days and hours you want to work, including daytime, evening, and weekend options. Clinicians must offer at least 10 client hours per week and may build a part-time or full caseload.
Hybrid Work
Provide telehealth therapy from your private home office and in-person therapy from our downtown Grand Rapids office.
Administrative Support
Our support team provides:
- Client referrals and practice marketing
- Initial client onboarding and scheduling
- Insurance credentialing and paneling
- Claims submission and billing support
- A HIPAA-compliant electronic health record and telehealth platform
- A furnished, welcoming therapy office
- Technical and administrative assistance
- Individual therapist profile and website marketing
- Optional therapist support meetings every other week
Clinical Support
You do not have to practice in isolation. Heartstone offers access to a collaborative team of neurodivergent and neurodiversity-affirming clinicians. Clinical supervision is provided for eligible limited-license clinicians.
Caseload Choice and Earning Potential
We help attract clients whose needs align with your interests, experience, identity, and preferred populations. You determine the size of your caseload within the expectations of an independent-contractor relationship.
Established clinicians with full caseloads may have the potential to earn more than $100,000 annually while maintaining a flexible schedule. Compensation varies based on caseload, completed sessions, insurance participation, reimbursement rates, and client attendance. This is an independent-contractor position and is not salaried employment.
