Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling various customer specific components and systems on agricultural bulk feed trailers including hydraulic systems, 12V electrical, and pneumatic components. Your experience in hand tools, power tools, and general mechanical aptitude will be crucial in ensuring the quality and functionality of our agricultural feed hopper trailers. No need to worry about prior professional experience; Walinga provides On-the-Job training!

Duties:
- Perform assembly and installation of mechanical and electrical components according to engineering specifications
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to assemble, adjust, and test components such as augers, junction boxes, hydraulic control valves and motors in addition to pneumatic air lines and valves
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions in the assembly process
- Collaborate with other team members to improve assembly processes and product quality

Experience:
- Prior experience in a field related to mechanical, maintenance, or similar is preferred

- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers

-Ability to fabricate components as needed
- Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and ability to read schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues

- Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

- Ability to stand, bend, twist and meet physical demands of job with or without accommodation

- Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds from the floor to waist.
