Full Job Description

Metal Panels Inc is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our Trim team in Kansas City location. A successful Operator is both efficient and precise, fabricating from sheet metal to meet our customers’ specifications and expectations.

Metal Panels Inc. is a quality manufacturer of metal roofing and siding products, meeting the needs of the Metal Roofing, Metal Building, Post Frame and Storage Industries since 2001. Locally owned and operated, MPI maintains lite manufacturing & heavy distribution centers in Tulsa and Kansas City. MPI has grown by providing our valued customers with quality products, timely delivery, and our best-in-class personalized service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Produce parts (trim) to meet customer specifications, which includes setting up the machine, reading and interpreting work orders.

· Ensure correct materials are used on each job by verifying materials prior to beginning production.

· Ensure parts are fabricated correctly by performing quality checks.

· Ensure efficient and timely processing of various jobs orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, materials used, anticipated completion time.

· Safe and efficient machine operation by performing daily, maintenance and minor repairs on machines, observing safety standards.

· Other responsibilities as required.

Skills/Requirements:

· 2 years’ experience operating a press brake or any other CNC equipment.

· Ability to look at drawings and blueprints, and program accordingly.

· Strong math skills.

· Willingness to learn other machinery.

· Great communication skills.

· Ability to be self sufficient and work well with a team.

· Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

· Monday – Friday 6 AM – 4:30 PM

· Additional overtime will be required as needed.

Education

High school or equivalent degree

Compensation: DOE base rate, 17-20 hr.

Quarterly profit-sharing bonus
