Active IN Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) certification
1 year experience required

Description:Title: Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) – Contract Position

Location: Mishawaka, IN

Job Details:

Pay Rate = $71
Shift Type =Days
Shift Hours = 40hrs per week
Assignment Length = 13 Weeks

Description of job:

The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role ensures patient safety, maintains sterile technique, operates imaging equipment, and provides technical and clinical support throughout procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field
Active certification/license in one of the following: RCIS, ARRT, or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients and procedure rooms for cardiac catheterizations and other invasive cardiovascular procedures
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures including coronary angiography, stent placements, and EP studies
Operate and troubleshoot hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy, and other cath lab equipment
Monitor patient status and vital signs, interpreting and documenting hemodynamic data
Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments and supplies
Accurately document procedures, medications, and patient responses in accordance with facility policy
Comply with infection control and safety standards
Participate in on-call rotation as required
Collaborate with nurses, technologists, and cardiologists to deliver high-quality patient care
