Overview

We are seeking a line cook to join our team in an independent and unique restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of dishes to our guests, while adhering to our high standards of food safety and quality. This is a small chef owned and operated restaurant. You would be a part of a unique group of 10 or less employees, working under a chef who has worked around the country and has mentored many cooks.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals according to our menu and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with meal preparation and food service
- Follow all food safety and handling procedures
- Ensure all food is cooked to the highest standards
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Help with kitchen maintenance and inventory management
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a high-pressure environment
- Work effectively with other team members to achieve goals

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in a hot kitchen
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and meal planning
- Certification as a dietary aide or equivalent experience
