Summit Granite Stone and Cabinet Design is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to drive business growth throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

This is NOT a retail showroom sales position (Although there is opportunity for showroom rotation).

This is a professional business development role focused on identifying opportunities, building long-term relationships, generating new business, and helping customers transform their vision into beautifully designed spaces using premium countertops, cabinetry, and related products.

ABOUT SUMMIT GRANITE STONE AND CABINET DESIGN

Summit Granite Stone and Cabinet Design is a growing, family-oriented company specializing in premium natural stone, quartz, cabinetry, sinks, faucets, and complete kitchen and bath solutions for residential and commercial customers.

We work on everything from luxury custom homes and large-scale remodeling projects to commercial construction and multi-unit developments. Our goal is to deliver exceptional craftsmanship and an outstanding customer experience.

We are actively building one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s premier countertop and cabinetry companies and investing in our people, technology, showroom, and operations to support that growth.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business, building long-term relationships, managing an active pipeline, and closing profitable projects.

This role combines:

Outside business development
Professional sales
Customer consultation
Kitchen & bath design
Project coordination
Relationship management

Success in this role comes from building trust, delivering strong design solutions, and executing consistently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development

Prospect daily through networking, referrals, outreach, and relationship building
Develop relationships with builders, contractors, remodelers, designers, architects, developers, and homeowners
Conduct jobsite visits, client meetings, and business presentations
Participate in networking events, trade shows, and community activities
Build and maintain a strong, consistent sales pipeline

Sales & Customer Consulting

Meet with customers to understand their goals, timeline, and budget
Recommend cabinetry, countertops, and related products
Prepare estimates, proposals, and presentations
Confidently ask for the sale and close business
Follow up consistently with leads, proposals, and referral partners

Design & Technology

Create kitchen, bath, and countertop concepts using design software
Translate customer ideas into layouts suitable for fabrication and installation
Guide customers through selections including materials, colors, and finishes
Collaborate with measurement, fabrication, and installation teams
Use CRM and digital tools to manage customer and project information

Customer Experience

Deliver a professional and consistent experience from first contact through completion
Maintain accurate notes, activities, and follow-ups in CRM
Coordinate effectively with internal teams

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Successful candidates will:

Consistently generate new business opportunities
Build and maintain an active pipeline
Develop long-term referral relationships
Meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets
Deliver exceptional customer experiences
Generate repeat business and referrals

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, or design sales preferred
Experience in countertops, cabinetry, kitchen & bath, remodeling, construction, or building materials strongly preferred
Proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close sales
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Organized and accountable
Professional and customer-focused

TECHNOLOGY & DESIGN SKILLS

Experience with design software (20/20, ProKitchen or similar) preferred
Comfortable using CRM systems
Experience with digital estimating and proposals
Proficient with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
Comfortable using mobile and communication tools

Training will be provided on company systems.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary:
$40,000 – $50,000 annually (based on experience)

Commission:
4% to 7% Uncapped, performance-based commission structure
