Full Job Description

Overview

SSP is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and continue building a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced automotive environment and enjoys developing people while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead all daily manufacturing operations, including production, quality, and safety.
Develop and mentor supervisors and manufacturing leaders to build a high-performing team.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Champion workplace safety and promote a zero-injury culture.
Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop manufacturing talent.
Establish performance expectations and coach leaders for success.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
Manage manufacturing budgets and analyze operating performance.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to meet customer expectations.
Support future growth through process improvements, facility enhancements, and operational excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a metal stamping environment
Previous experience leading production operations in automotive manufacturing
Strong background in employee development and leadership
Demonstrated success driving safety initiatives and building a strong safety culture
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Lean Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels
Strong business acumen with experience managing operational performance
Previous Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
