Job Description:

The Vacuum Truck Operator - Class A CDL will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulation of equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations.

Responsibilities:
This posting is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities but constitutes a general definition of the position's scope and function.

Drive and operate efficiently and safely all power equipment, and vehicles by DOT laws and regulations, Company and Customer Policies and Procedures on public highways, company, and customer property.
Operate and set up all necessary equipment by operation training and guidelines and safety procedures.
Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
Drive truck to the destination and operates equipment to load or unload materials.
Prepare customer delivery ticket to the product delivered and obtains a customer signature.
Keep a record of materials and products transported.
Maintains records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, and shipping manifests according to state and federal regulations.
Complete daily pre-trip and DVIR.
Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Able to read maps and follow written and verbal communication.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

1 year of commercial driving experience.
Must be able to travel for extended periods.
Must have a valid Class A CDL (commercial driver's license).
Must have a Tanker endorsement.
Must have NO RESTRICTIONS. Must be capable of driving manual transmission.
Must have a clean DOT driving record.
TWIC preferred but not required
Respond to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, if called upon.
Ability to perform duties by training and standard operating procedures.
Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
Must have a clear personal background.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and medical physical.
