Full Job Description

Join a growing and successful small business in Greenville as a full-time Accountant. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on with all facets of accounting operations and is excited about contributing to a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Prepare and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely.
Record and maintain journal entries and general ledger transactions.
Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial statements.
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and accounting processes.
Support budgeting, reporting, and other accounting projects as needed.
Collaborate with leadership on financial and operational initiatives.
Contribute to process improvements and support the overall success of a small business environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and efficiently.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Comfortable working in a small business setting where responsibilities may vary.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

$40-$55 per hour, based on experience
