Cypress Glen is actively seeking a reliable and skilled Full-Time Cook to prepare high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and kitchen cleanliness. The ideal candidate is organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering consistent food quality.

SUMMARY

Responsible for the preparation of the breakfast, lunch or dinner meal for all residents by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and presented consistently.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
Receive and properly store food deliveries.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Assist with menu preparation and daily specials as directed.
Minimize food waste and maintain cost-effective kitchen practices.

Other duties as required.

Experience in fine- dining environment preferred.

Works- Every other weekend

Hours: Varies depending on needs of the community.

Previous experience as a cook or in a commercial kitchen preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong time management and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
