About Blackjack Disposal

Blackjack Disposal, a Best Trash company, is a fast-growing waste and recycling service provider serving residential and commercial customers across North Texas. We pride ourselves on reliable service, operational excellence, safety, and building high-performing teams. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strong, hands-on leader to drive daily operations and support our growth.

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our field operations, including Residential, Commercial, Roll-Off, and Container Delivery services. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driver performance, route efficiency, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to building structure, accountability, and continuous improvement within the operation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all residential, commercial, roll-off, and container delivery drivers and operations
Ensure daily route execution meets productivity, quality, and service standards
Hold drivers accountable for safety, attendance, professionalism, and performance
Investigate service failures, accidents, and operational issues; implement corrective actions
Champion safety initiatives, enforce company policies, and maintain full DOT/CDL compliance
Optimize routing, reduce inefficiencies, and continuously improve service levels
Collaborate closely with dispatch, customer service, maintenance, and sales teams
Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and discipline frontline team members
Maintain a strong field presence, supporting drivers and monitoring operations in real time
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions
Assist with customer escalations and ensure timely service recovery
Support operational scaling and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (required)
Previous experience in waste management, transportation, logistics, or trucking strongly preferred
Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and CDL requirements preferred
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Proficient with technology and route management systems (preferred)
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, occasional weekends, and emergency call-outs
