Looking for not just a line cook, but a passionate teammate!!

We are offering competitive hourly pay, + Kitchen Share(tips), + Staff meal.
Located at 136 Washington Avenue in South Norwalk, CT.

Part Time/Full Time - 34hrs/week. Tuesday - Saturday.

Brass & Bone is a fast-growing restaurant and concert space where we bring Creole style and Cajun flavors to the table with a crew that cooks with passion. We move fast, stay sharp, and treat every plate like we were serving it to our loved ones. Our kitchen is creative and collaborative. We make everything from scratch, from bases and sauces to cocktails and bitters.

We’re looking for a Line Cook who brings skill, focus, and good energy to every shift. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented (plating), and thrives in a busy, high-vibe kitchen. As stated before, everything is made from scratch, so time management and organization are key. We are looking for a candidate who will take on their station like it's theirs. To own your space and maintain your station professionally. Communication is a key ingredient at Brass & Bone and we work together to make sure that we execute a smooth and beautiful service. You’ll work sauté and/or fry stations executing bold, flavor-driven dishes with precision and consistency to plating.

Requirements

Punctual and dependable — show up ready and on time
Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
Strong knife skills — efficient, safe, and consistent
Sautée and fry station experience — confident managing heat, timing, and texture
Excellent organizational skills — keep your station stocked, clean, and calm under pressure
Strong communication skills — clear, respectful, fearless (communicate quantities of inventory with the goal to replenish)
Attention to detail — every plate looks and tastes right before it leaves the pass
Adaptability — can shift gears when the kitchen or menu calls for it
Creativity — brings ideas, passion, and pride to the food
Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

Execute dishes to Brass & Bone standards for flavor, presentation, and timing
Prep, cook, and plate items on sauté, fry, or other stations as needed
Maintain clean, organized work areas during service and breakdown
Communicate clearly with Chef and fellow line cooks to ensure smooth service
Follow prep lists, storage standards, and safety protocols
Contribute ideas and feedback to improve systems and dishes
Uphold a positive, respectful, and team-driven kitchen culture
