Full Job Description

Overview:

Rare opening for a private practice OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR at a well-loved general pediatric office.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled office administrator to fill this critical, long term position at our respected, well-established, physician-owned medical office located in the west Denver Metro region. This is a full time (40 hr/week) position.

Responsibilities:

STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES include oversight of provider schedules, office staffing, credentialing, staff health insurance, 401k plan, worker’s comp, and onboarding of new employees.
MEDICAL OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES include oversight of medical supplies and vaccine ordering, management updates of EMR updates, ICD-10 codes, and CPT codes.
FINANCIAL RESPONSBILITIES include running payroll, preparation of daily deposits, management of accounts payable, running reports on allowable charges, reconciliation of accounts in Quickbooks, generating financial reports, implementation of new/expiring billing codes, preparation/filing of use tax and property tax, and meeting with tax accountant for filing of annual corporate taxes.

Experience:

Main job qualifications include strong experience in management and administration of a private practice medical office. A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred, although appropriate experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Additional qualifications include high emotional intelligence and a solid work ethic. A skilled and open collaborative approach to working with all members of a medical office is a must.

Practice Description:

We are a 7 provider office (3 MD’s, 4 part-time PA’s) providing care for a broad range of general pediatric patients from newborns to 19 yo’s. We have a collaborating in-house behavioral health therapist serving our patients.
Our office deliberately sees lower patient volumes to enable a focus on delivery of thoughtful, high quality, evidence-based pediatric care with a goal of long term continuity. We have a friendly culture and we do our best to take care of each other. Our well-child care strategy incorporates pro-vaccine policies.
Our billing is all done in-house through 2 experienced medical billers
Our practice is situated in a great location at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, just west of Denver, in a region with great support from pediatric specialists when needed.
Our office has a fantastic reputation in the local community with continuous demand from new patient families to gain entrance into the practice based on word-of-mouth referrals. Our patient population draws from a range of demographic backgrounds with significant subpopulations of medically complex patients as well as children of highly educated international graduate students at local universities.

Annual bonus: 5-10% of annual salary, performance based
