Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Support the company’s day-to-day financial operations including, but not limited to, data entry, financial reporting, and special projects.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

The Company is a privately held company with expertise in multi-family residential rehabilitation, renovation and improvements. The Company has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. Currently, projects are being completed in Arizona, Oregon and Washington.

This is a "hands-on" position that involves direct support of the day-to-day accounting operations. This position reports directly to the CEO and General Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with and review, verify, match, and code vendor invoices
Prepare monthly financial reports and present to the CEO
Assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general cash flow management
Assist outside CPA firm with annual GAAP reviewed financial statement
Follow up with project managers (PMs) regarding job costing
Prepare project reports for PMs
Maintain and develop electronic spread sheets to efficiently perform accounting functions
Preparation and tracking of monthly tax reports
Perform and support special accounting projects as requested
Willing to contribute as needed to team efforts and company objectives
Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, accounting and legal information

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proven 5 years full-cycle bookkeeping experience
4+ years of construction accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook
Proficient in QuickBooks Online, including job coding and full account reconciliation.
Multi-state sales tax and Washington B&O reporting experience required.
Solid organization skills with attention to detail resulting in timely and accurate work products
Problem solving skills
Tenacious and positive attitude in a constantly changing environment

SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS

$70,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
75% of qualified employee health premiums.

JOB LOCATION

In office only - Portland, Oregon - Parkrose/Airport area

Minimal travel to Seattle, Washington may be required
