Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using proper knife skills.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation practices to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in menu planning and development with the culinary team as needed.
Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when preparing meals.

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the kitchen setting.
Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required.
Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and management.
Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or dietary requirements as needed.
