Full Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for correcting, completing, and processing claims of all payer codes. Also required to generate reports from computer in accordance with established procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education

High school graduate or GED

Minimum Work Experience

One-year experience in handling billing and account receivables in a similar set up or related field
Some training or background in ICD-A/CPT codes

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Able to work under pressure
Able to handle multiple functions and tasks
Understanding of community-based organizations
Ability to communicate with the medical staff and managers
Some knowledge of bookkeeping and office functions
Some knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes
Ability to work proficiently and efficiently on a timely manner
Knowledge of all payer codes
Knowledge of all programs offered by NHSI
Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religions, and economic status
