Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Tax Associate, where you'll play a vital role in delivering accurate and compliant tax solutions for diverse clients. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in tax accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance while working in a collaborative environment. As a Tax Associate, you will be instrumental in supporting tax planning, preparation, and audit processes, ensuring our clients meet all industry standards and financial regulations.

Duties

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
Assist in the development of complex financial models to support tax strategies and business decisions.
Conduct thorough analysis of financial data using spreadsheets and financial software to identify tax savings opportunities.
Support mergers and acquisitions by performing due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning related to tax implications.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and industry-specific financial regulations.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation, explain tax positions, and address inquiries effectively.
Assist with auditing processes by preparing documentation, supporting audit requests, and ensuring adherence to financial regulatory standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws, financial regulations, and industry best practices to provide proactive advice.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and modeling.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax accounting practices, and finance fundamentals.
Experience with financial software tools used for tax preparation and accounting tasks.
Knowledge of industry regulations related to financial compliance and reporting standards such as GAAP.
Excellent analysis skills to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Project management capabilities to handle multiple deadlines efficiently while maintaining high-quality work.
Effective client communication skills to explain technical information clearly and build strong professional relationships.
Industry knowledge of financial regulations impacting taxation and compliance requirements.
