Position Summary
The Process Engineer provides technical leadership and support for assigned processes and product lines, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effective manufacturing. This role combines engineering expertise with team leadership responsibilities to optimize production processes, reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout Tex-Tech Coatings operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs that improve producibility, reduce cycle times, and minimize manufacturing losses.
- Conduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with company quality standards and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and implement new techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that enhance cost performance, delivery schedules, and customer satisfaction.
- Support product strategy, development efforts, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
- Partner with the Manufacturing Manager to manage production schedules, order raw materials, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and provide direction to operating teams.
- Share supervisory responsibilities for production associates, including coaching, training, attendance management, and performance oversight.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field).
Experience
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with ERP systems and CMMS/EAM platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor EAM preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and implement sustainable process improvements.

- Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operating procedures, and work instructions in English.

- Proficiency in basic mathematics, measurements, and simple algebra.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions while troubleshooting routine manufacturing issues.
- Strong focus on quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.
- High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with forklift traffic, moving machinery, concrete floors, and varying temperatures.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional electrical components.
- Work may be performed near freight-moving equipment.
- Moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection required in designated areas.
- Non-climate-controlled environment subject to seasonal temperature changes.
- Required PPE includes safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and respirators as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
