Job posting for Lead Bartender/Mixologist Lead Bartender / Mixologist

New Restaurant Opening!!! We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Lead Bartender / Mixologist to help lead our bar program and create an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is passionate about craft cocktails, quality ingredients, beverage knowledge, and developing a strong bar team.

The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands that great bartending is about more than making excellent drinks—it is about creating memorable hospitality.

Responsibilities

Lead the bar team during service and set the standard for hospitality, professionalism, and drink execution.
Prepare and serve high-quality craft cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Help develop and maintain seasonal and signature cocktail menus.
Train and mentor bartenders on cocktail preparation, recipes, service standards, and product knowledge.
Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality of every beverage.
Maintain proper bar setup, organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Monitor inventory, product usage, and waste; communicate ordering needs to management.
Assist with beverage costing and maintaining appropriate pour costs.
Ensure proper cash handling and adherence to all company policies.
Work closely with management and the kitchen to create a cohesive guest experience.
Help manage opening and closing procedures.
Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
Stay current on cocktail trends, spirits, beer, wine, and emerging beverage products.
Support special events, private parties, and promotional beverage programs.
Lead by example and help create a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Follow all applicable alcohol service, health, safety, and company regulations.

Qualifications

3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, brewery, or cocktail-focused environment.
Previous lead bartender or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for hospitality and creating genuine guest connections.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age and meet all applicable requirements for alcohol service.
