From our cottage kitchen, we offer exquisite pastry that caters to any dietary restriction. We are a small, female-lead business with unbreakable integrity dedicated to the life force of our team, clients, the pastry we make, and the footprint we leave on this earth.

Role Description:

This is a part time, on-site role from 8am to 2pm from Tuesday to Fridays. When you are here you serve as the foundation and glue of our growing, all-hands-on-deck enterprise. Therefore, we need you to be present in our Beverly Office during working hours, although you will have some flexibility for remote work on special occasions.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service Above the Standard:

· Managing complex custom orders with an extreme eye to detail and always fulfilling orders over-and-above customer expectations.

· Monitor and improve upon website so menu, pricing, orders, and fulfillment are accurate, timely, and paid in full.

· Building and maintaining customer flows - on and off-line - that ensure brand recognition, loyalty, and delight.

· Monitoring customer retention and sales growth and contributing to it through improved operating systems.

2. Budgeting & Financial Management:

· Organizing all documents and records for our bookkeeper

· Maintaining receipts, invoices, budgets, expenses, and financial records.

3. Enhancing Policies & Procedures:

· Helping owner review, renew, and create policies and procedures that are informed by the experienced wisdom of the people who use them.

· Ensuring they are communicated and available to all.

· Drafting signage, inventory, ordering, recipe and procedural documents.

4. Marketing & Communications:

· Collaborating with owner to design, deliver, and publicize newsletters and social media content.

· Monitoring marketing metrics

5. Administration:

· Responsible for finding solutions to any administrative friction and system inefficiencies that impede progress and harmony.

· Managing all orders and deliveries from phone messages and website, coordinating schedules, organizing meetings, and handling communication within the office.

· Administrating a smooth and efficiently run office that allows the owner to spend her time expanding Pure Pastry’s potential.

Qualifications

· Experience in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory

· Confirmed expertise in administrative assistance, office administration, and technology

· Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities

· Validated communication and customer service skills

· Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Verified ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

· QuickBooks and invoicing experience

· Bachelor’s degree (in Business Administration or related field preferred)

Pay and Benefits:

· Hourly wage of $25/hour for a three month trial period, then rises to $28 or more with benchmarks for success achieved with quarterly reviews.
