Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Recreation Office Manager to lead and coordinate daily operations within our recreational department. This energetic role requires a proactive individual who excels in office management, team supervision, and client communication. The Recreation Office Manager will oversee administrative functions, manage vendor relationships, coordinate events, and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about creating engaging recreational experiences, this is the perfect opportunity to make a positive impact while utilizing your organizational and leadership skills.

Duties

Enhancing and maintaining recreation website and use of MYREC software.
Plan, organize, and execute community events and recreational programs to enhance member engagement.
Manage vendor relationships for supplies, equipment, and contracts to ensure seamless facility operations.
Oversee budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial recordkeeping using accounting software such as softright.
Handle human resources functions including staff training, development, payroll processing, and performance evaluations.
Maintain accurate records of confidential information while ensuring compliance with privacy policies.
Coordinate calendar management for facility bookings and special events, using Microsoft Office tools, spreadsheets, and MyRec software.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive community relations.
Oversee office supplies inventory, filing systems, and clerical tasks to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within recreational or medical office settings.
Supervising experience with demonstrated team management capabilities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette.
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
Familiarity with event planning and scheduling management tools.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Technical proficiency in office equipment and software applications relevant to office operations.
